The EASIER Way to Happiness – Part 6 – Realise and live your purpose

by | Jul 22, 2013 | Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, Relationships (Self and Others)

Take a few moments to recap and reflect on how well you have managed the first five parts of this six part guide to being happy the EASIER way. Maybe take some time to reread or share some of the first five parts you know will make the biggest difference in your life…

Part 1: Engage and enjoy the present moment
Part 2: Attitude and action
Part 3: Screen and simplify
Part 4: Invest wisely
Part 5: Express it!

Now that you have come so far, embrace the final and most significant step and…

Part 6: Realise and live your purpose

1. Realise and live your purpose. You can be who you want to be right now, no matter what your situation looks like. You may think life needs to change dramatically for you to be the person you want to be. That you can’t give until you make more money. Or you can’t be adventurous and travel until you sell your house. The truth is you can be those things at any point in time. If you don’t have enough money to share… Be generous with your compassion and listen when your friends have problems. If your house hasn’t sold (keeping you in one place), create adventure in your day by trying new things like joining a sports club or introducing yourself to new people. You never know when your ‘NOWS’ will run out — so ask yourself, “How can I be the person I want to be RIGHT NOW in this moment?”

2. It’s not about discovering, it is about deciding. Remember not to waste time trying to ‘find yourself’, there is nothing to find. One of the deepest secrets in life is that it is not a process of discover but rather a process of creation. So, “Who do you decide to be?” Choose greatness, choose it now (in the everyday moments), live it fully and…

“be the difference that makes the difference
